Hooray for Beer!!! Sealing a fermenting kettle

When we got a call from a local brewmaster to help seal his fermenting kettles we sprung into action. After all, we can't have beer going bad on us now can we?

We took some measurements and had a gasket cut with pressure sensitive adhesive placed on one side to stick to his lids. We recommended the lids be clean, dry and room temperature for the install. It worked like a charm. There's now an airtight seal on his fermenting pots and most important, the beer is safe.

Replacing the seals on caster wheels

Hey that rhymes.... Today we got to help out someone replace the worn out seals on some old (but perfectly good) caster wheels. Some quick measurements and we were able to replace them on the spot.

Looks like we have 7 more coming our way!

Dirty monday

Today presented itself with a new challenge. A present awaited me on my desk this morning. A large gear/pully with no identifying marks. We successfully extracted the hub seals and the exclusion seals around the wheel. Nothing like getting all up in the bearing grease first thing in the morning

After about an hour of tearing it down we had all 5 seals identified and will be
Installed tomorrow. If these work, which we are confident they will, we get to do 7 more of them. We later found out these go into garbage dumps. We will post up some pics of the giant casters tomorrow.

The afternoon lent itself to all east fixes

A down cylinder on a ford backhoe. We will have the gentleman his parts first thing Tuesday morning. Next up was some easily identifiable o-rings

Next you need hydraulic seals, think total hydraulic seal components

Long day but a job well finished

It's been a long day today. We received a rush order for 50 kits in the late afternoon. It involves 9 individual parts. We dodged the first bullet and had all 9 in stock. We bagged them up in less than 2 hours after work. What we promised for Monday afternoon we will now deliver to our customers shop in the morning. Team Total goes the extra mile
